John L. Bourquin, Esq.

John L. Bourquin IV received his B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from Adelphi University. He received his law degree from Touro College – Jacob D. Fuschberg Law Center, where he was a student editor of The Municipal Lawyer magazine and received Cali® awards for Land Use, Zoning & Planning and Environmental Law.  

Prior to joining Egan & Golden, LLP Mr. Bourquin worked for a Southampton, New York based firm where he concentrated on land use, zoning and municipal law. Mr. Bourquin has successfully advocated for clients before various planning boards, zoning boards of appeals, architectural review boards and boards of historic preservation across the towns and villages of Suffolk County.

At Egan & Golden, Mr. Bourquin concentrates his practice in providing counsel to the Villages of Southampton, Shoreham, Sagaponack and Patchogue as well as representing private clients in front of various municipal agencies and in all kinds of civil litigation.

Mr. Bourquin is counsel to the Village of Southampton Planning Board and Village of Sagaponack Architectural and Historic Review Board. Mr. Bourquin is admitted to the state bars of the New York and Connecticut.  He is a member of the New York State and Suffolk County Bar Associations.
