Firm Appointed to Represent Suffolk County Legislature

The newly elected Suffolk County Legislature majority, seated on January 1, 2022, recently appointed Brian T. Egan, Esq. and Egan & Golden, LLP as Special Counsel to represent the Legislature in the pending Court challenge to the legislative redistricting plan proposed by the Democratic majority in December 2021. The redistricting plan dramatically changed the boundaries of the existing legislative districts. The plan was initially thrown out by Justice Joseph Farenti of the Suffolk County Supreme Court, but then stayed on application to the Appellate Division. The plan was developed without the establishment of the redistricting commission required by the County Charter – and without the input of Republican caucus.

The Firm has wide experience representing a variety of municipalities and elected officials throughout Long Island.
