Egan & Golden LLP Honors Veterans at Annual Day of Service

LONG ISLAND, N.Y., May 18, 2026— The attorneys and staff of Egan & Golden LLP came together today in a spirit of profound gratitude and community at the Long Island State Veterans Home, hosting a full clambake luncheon, live musical entertainment, and an afternoon of fellowship with the home’s resident veterans as part of the firm’s annual Day of Service.

The Day of Service, reflects the firm’s enduring commitment to giving back to the communities it serves. This year, the firm turned its focus to the men and women who dedicated their lives to protecting the freedoms Americans hold dear — the residents of the Long Island State Veterans Home, a facility that provides comprehensive care to New York’s veterans.

These veterans gave everything for our country. It is both an honor and a privilege to spend this day in their company — sharing a meal, sharing music, and sharing our deepest gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

— BRIAN T. EGAN, ESQ. MANAGING PARTNER, EGAN & GOLDEN LLP

Throughout the afternoon, Egan & Golden attorneys and staff rolled up their sleeves — quite literally — serving lobster, clams, corn, and all the trimmings of a classic Long Island clambake directly to the veterans. The scene was one of warmth and laughter, as colleagues who usually spend their days in courtrooms and conference rooms found themselves side by side in service, creating genuine moments of connection with the residents.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the firm sponsored a live band that performed throughout the luncheon, filling the air with music that had veterans and staff alike tapping their feet and sharing stories. The entertainment proved to be a highlight of the afternoon, sparking conversations and bringing a celebratory energy to an already meaningful gathering.

The Long Island State Veterans Home, located in Stony Brook, provides skilled nursing, adult day health care, and memory care services to veterans from across New York State. Events such as today’s celebration provide residents with vital social engagement and serve as a meaningful reminder that their sacrifices are remembered and honored by the broader community.

Egan & Golden LLP’s Day of Service is an  firm-wide initiative through which all attorneys and staff step away from the office to volunteer in the community. This year’s selection of the Long Island State Veterans Home was unanimous and enthusiastically embraced by everyone at the firm.

The firm extends its heartfelt thanks to the administration and staff of the Long Island State Veterans Home for welcoming them so graciously, and above all, to the veterans themselves — whose service and spirits made this the most meaningful Day of Service yet.
